PHP syntax

A PHP script starts with <?php and ends with ?>

<?php
// Php code ...
?>

Here is an example of a PHP. The PHP script uses a built in function called “echo“. The below example shows the result “Hello World!”.

Code:

<html>
<head>
<title>Welcome to PHP</title>
</head>
<body>
<?php
echo "Hello World!";
?>
</body>
</html>

Note: PHP statements end with semicolons (;).
